The mission of Beau Industries is to design and build high-quality, deeply functional, sustainable products that support active, adventurous parents. The DNA of our gear is the synthesis of well thought out functionality and durable, sustainable materials. We are active, outdoor enthusiast parents ourselves who take our kids everywhere, and we design gear we would want to have with us on our own family adventures. All Beau Industries products have been rigorously tested over many iterations to provide perfect fit, feel and function.

LEADING WITH SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is at the core of our brand and our products’ DNA. We aim for sustainability on two tracks: Design and Materials.

Our products are designed sustainably by considering their second life, not just their first. Most parenting products on the market are built to last until they are no longer needed, and then usually discarded or handed down to another parent with younger kids. We have a different approach. Our products are designed to grow with the parent and kid, and to be as useful to parents of older kids as parents of babies.

We are born int he city and live in the county.

For example, the Beau Pack R1 features a no-compromise padded laptop compartment, deep organization, a changing pad that doubles as a separate laptop sleeve, and a tasteful and versatile design that makes you want to keep using it for years and years. The Beau Pack is as useful and impressive as an everyday office-to-outdoors daypack as it is a diaper bag. Our early test parents still use theirs today, even though their kids are long since out of diapers.

But we dont stop there. Beau Industries uses a custom-developed 100% recycled polyester for its exterior fabrics. The yarn material of our fabrics is called Reboyarn. Its a post-consumer recycled plastic derived primarily from single use water bottles. The yarn mill ensures industry-leading quality, durability and feel by implementing careful pre-sorting and rigorous pre-production testing.

What it means is that Beau Industries products are technically in their second life the moment you open the package, but you’d never know it. Our fabrics look and feel great with beautiful color saturation and lab-tested durability. It also has the benefit helping to cut down on wasteful plastic production by putting already discarded plastic to use.

Long Island City NYC

BASED in NYC / TESTED IN HVNY

We are based in Long Island City, NYC, with distribution and testing in the foothills of the Gunks in New Paltz, NY. Beau Industries was founded by former NYC middle school science teacher, Pratt Institute trained industrial designer, US Patent holder and proud dad, George Estreich in 2020. His goal in launching this brand was to create a parenting gear brand that put dad’s taste and sensibility at the center. Of course that didn’t and doesn’t mean that our gear is β€œonly for dads”, on the contrary, its purposely unisex. Our gear is simply designed from the perspective of a typical dad. And to us that means extreme durability, deep multi-functionality, and slick, versatile design. The Beau Industries brand officially launched in October of 2021, featuring their maiden product, the Parenting Pack R1 and its associated (and included) accessories.

Beau Industries parenting pack R1 and its inspiration, my son Beau.

Our founder George’s son, Beau (the inspiration for the Beau Industries brand) posing with an early prototype pack. Beau grew up in a family that cherishes the outdoors and the planet we live on. That ethos has carried over the brand named after him. One he could be proud of when he grows up in a world that increasingly cares about the same ideals.
